As to kanji and components. Why yes, yes, I did. The basic primitives are introduced as needed throughout the book. I’m talking about fully-fleshed out methods, from start to finish.

You will not only need to review, you will need to review a lot.

The disadvantage is that looking up Kanji you don’t know all of them gets very annoying, very fast. It was first published inwith the sixth edition of the book released in Probably not beforebut now that RTK exists, maybe they would give up when they know there’s a better alternative.
